Tyler Baldwin- Sports & Special Events Manager, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Tyler Baldwin is an award‑winning event executive with a strong background in entertainment, venue operations, and destination‑driven event strategy. As Sports & Special Events Manager at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, he supports the development, attraction, and execution of major sporting events that elevate Las Vegas’ global profile. Tyler is a recipient of the IAVM 30 Under 30 Award and holds a Leadership Advance Certification from the Las Vegas Chamber. A graduate of Missouri State University, he brings more than a decade of experience in large‑scale event management, partner coordination, and tourism‑focused programming — helping position Las Vegas as a premier destination for world‑class sports and special events.
Ron Futrell - is a veteran sports journalist for KLAS‑TV Channel 8 in Las Vegas, known for covering nearly every major sporting event in the city since 1984. With a career spanning local TV and radio stations across the western U.S., he’s especially recognized for his long‑running coverage of UNLV basketball, major boxing and MMA events, NASCAR, and the careers of standout local athletes. He will explore how the rise of sports in Las Vegas is driving new tourism opportunities—and how businesses can position themselves to benefit from this evolution.
